壽泉窯は、結晶釉を得意としている窯元です。
結晶釉とは溶けたときの釉が、結晶性の物質で飽和されそれが冷却の際に析出して、肉眼で認められる美しい模様を現す釉です。
特殊な釉薬の焼成時に起こる化学変化によって生まれる結晶の花は、気温や窯の温度、焼成時の器を置く位置などによって表情が異なり、その偶然性を活かす緻密なセンスと匠の技から二つとない花のような景色が浮かび上がります。
また鮮やかな色彩は、作家のひたむきな探究心による絶妙な釉薬の調合から生まれました。
壽泉窯では、炎が作り出す美しい結晶模様に魅せらせ、長年の研究により困難とされていた装飾的結晶釉を安定、実用化する事に成功しました。

ABOUT JUSENGAMA
The products of jusengama are characterized by their crystalline glaze, which provides the pottery surface with delicate brilliance. The glaze and baking process achieve this pattern of crystals which is reminiscent of blooming flowers. It is the very product of chance made with clay and flame. Depending on the mixture of crystalline elements in the glaze, the differences of temperature in the kiln and other factors, the shape of the individual crystals comes out differently. The beauty of jusengama original pottery has been highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally.
